“All my life, I’ve had paranormal experiences in Townsville, Queensland, Australia, some good and some bad. This one in particular scared the shit out of me…
It was a sunny, summer day and extremely hot. Around lunch time, my friend and I were on our way to a shopping center when I turned down a street I had never been down before.
As soon as I turned, I immediately felt sick and nervous. I usually get that feeling when I’m entering a place with spirits that are not welcoming. I continued to drive down the street for about 500 meters, and the feeling in my stomach only got more intense. For some reason, a two-story house on the right caught my attention. I stopped the car and just looked at it for a good 10 to 15 minutes. My friend then suggested we go inside. I figured it was a bad idea as the next-door neighbor was watering her yard, but after a few minutes I agreed to go.
We got out of the car and started walking up to the house. Strangely, the lady next door didn’t seem to notice. It was almost as if she couldn’t see or hear us. When we got to the front door, I got the chills. As I said, it was an extremely hot day. It wasn’t cold, but I was shaking and had goosebumps.
When I stepped into the house, I saw that it was trashed. The wall had a huge pentagram, but what was particularly unsettling was the big hole in the middle of it. Worse, the hole looked as if it had been punched outwards, not inwards.
There was a room on the other side of the wall, so I checked to see if someone had punched the pentagram in from there. However, the wall was completely fine, not a dent in it. I automatically thought maybe a spirit or demon had been released or something. My friend just stared at the pentagram, not saying a word. I took a photo, and we decided to head upstairs.
Half way up the stairs was a bit of a platform. As we approached, I felt a push from the front, but my friend was behind me. We both fell down the stairs, and I landed on her arm and hit my head really hard on the floor. I remember not being able to move for ages. I felt as if something was sitting on me, and I heard my friend saying ‘Get up!’ over and over. I couldn’t talk, and I couldn’t breathe. When I finally found the words, I yelled ‘Get the fuck off me!’ The pressure I felt released, and I could move again.
As we got up, my friend and I heard a door slam upstairs. We then ran back to the car. I decided it wasn’t a good idea to go shopping and that we should go to my place. Once there, I decided to have a proper look at a photo I’d taken outside the home. In it, I saw an odd-looking creature. The closest thing I can compare it to is a cat, but it was definitely not a cat. I also saw the figure of a woman gazing out the window.
I connected my phone to the computer, and it uploaded every photo except the two I’d taken at the house. I tried two more times, but no matter what I did, the photos of the house would not upload. Curious, I tried looking up information about the house, but I couldn’t find a thing. I looked up every address I knew, and could get information about them all, but I couldn’t find a thing about the creepy house. It was almost like it didn’t exist at all.
About a week later, I was texting my sister about the house and was about to send her a picture from my phone when I realized the photos were gone. I had another look at my computer, but the photos weren’t there either.
The whole thing was just really strange. I have never experienced anything like that before, especially in broad day light.”
