“It was around 6th grade when I was about 11 or 12. My sister and I shared a bedroom, and we had both fallen asleep in the same twin-sized bed. It was around 2:30 a.m. when I randomly woke up and turned to see a shadow at the foot of the bed, facing my way.
It was glowing slightly blue, but very transparent. It was a male who looked anywhere from 19-26 years old. We just stared at each other for a while, eyes completely locked, both of us frozen. I wasn’t scared until I blinked and suddenly he wasn’t there anymore.
I shot up, turned on a small lamp, and cried in a chair beside my sister’s bed for about 10 minutes. I didn’t want to wake her up to tell her I’d seen a ghost, but I did anyway. When she woke, I told her what happened, and she told me that my mom keeps a box of my brother’s stuff at the top of our closet. My mom had him about 10 years before she had me. He passed away soon after he was born.
I never told my mom because I didn’t want to bring a horrible memory back. The weird thing is that I was amazed and definitely taken aback, but I wasn’t scared. My sister and I no longer have to share a room, though I still sleep in the same room with my brother’s stuff at the top of my closet. That was four years ago, and it never happened again.”
