Ghost Photo: Girl in the Graveyard

This photo from Coast to Coast AM seems to show a ghostly child wandering in the dark. The man who took the photo writes:

“My aunt gave me a digital camera for my birthday, and now my wife and I go to a cemetery to take pictures every so often. The cemetery was established in 1874, so it has some old graves. I’ve gotten two pictures of small orbs but nothing like this. To me, it looks like a little girl is in a hurry to go somewhere.”

Ghost Photo: Gaol House Ghost

Taken at the Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast, Ireland, this photo appears to show a figure standing in the doorway.

“It was the wing [where] I felt the most weird and unsettled in and it was freezing cold,” the woman who took the photo told local news papers. “Then this shows up on the pictures.”

More than 17 men were executed at Crumlin Road Gaol, including a notorious IRA terrorist. In addition to violent criminals, the jail has also housed suffragettes, political prisoners, and children from poor families caught stealing. Could the figure in the photo be one of them?

The Ghosts of Antietam

On September 17, 1862, the Battle of Antietam raged near the small town of Sharpsburg, Maryland. More than 23,000 men were killed, wounded, or missing in action during the four-hour battle, making Antietam the bloodiest single-day battle in American history. Given its tragic history, is it any wonder soldiers’ ghosts reportedly haunt the former battlefield?

Now, visitors at Antietam National Battlefield report smelling gun powder and seeing men in Confederate uniforms. At first, visitors assume they’re witnessing a reenactment. That is, until the uniformed men abruptly disappear. Other eerie events include blue balls of light that zip around and wink out and the faint sounds of drums beating in the distance.  An area known as “Bloody Lane” is particularly active.

Today, marks the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam. Do you think slain soldiers still haunt the area?

Ghost Photo: The Man Within

A man found this creepy image while searching the area on Google street view. Is that a ghostly face peering out of The Stuart Hotel, a community pub in Liverpool, England?

According to locals, The Stuart Hotel was once plagued by a poltergeist that rattled the building and scratched within the walls.

“In 1897, the then landlord investigated a strange scratching noise in the cellar of the pub, and believed it was a rat, but then the noise became louder and was soon heard in neighboring houses,” a local paranormal told the Mirror. “Three days later the pub was shaken from top to bottom and the windows of the pub were left open in case the vibrations shattered the glass.”
