Ghosts and Ghouls

An amateur photographer snapped this photo at St. Philip’s Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina. Legend has it that the photo was taken 99 years after the ghost in the picture, Sue Howard Hardy, gave birth to a stillborn baby. Mrs. Hardy died six days after the birth of the child.

Visitors to St. Philip’s report seeing Sue’s spirit lurking in the cemetery, while pregnant women have been known to become sick and even suffer miscarriages after walking past the grieving mother’s grave. Strange rays of light also appear on or near Sue Howard Hardy’s tombstone.

Kodak reportedly examined the photo, searching for signs of tampering or fraud, but was unable to prove it was a fake.
