Also known as Bartonville State Hospital or Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane, the Peoria asylum operated as a psychiatric hospital from 1902 to 1973 and housed 2,800 patients at its peak. The pic above reportedly shows the facility’s resident ghost: the white lady. Too good to be true?
