Ghost Photo of the Day: Myrtles Mirror Ghost

ghost pic myrtles plantation

Here’s another eerie pic from the infamous Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, LA. A reader writes:

“In November 2012, I visited the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville and snapped a picture of a mirror next to a staircase in the house.

If you look closely, there’s a series of smudges in the mirror that very closely resemble a woman’s face. The smudges were present on the mirror when I took the picture, but when I looked back at the picture later the next day, the face became very apparent to me. Now I can’t unsee it.

What’s your opinion? This was taken with my iPhone, with no outside light and no editing.”

The antique mirror has quite the reputation. Legend has it a slave named Chloe poisoned her master’s wife and daughters and that the murdered family now appears in the mirror’s glass. Some say the tortured souls also leave hand prints that no amount of cleaning can remove.

Do you see a face in the photo posted above? The face (or smudges/warps) in the glass also appear in this picture.

  1. I’ve been to Myrtles Plantation and know several people who has been there as well. My conclusion of this phenomena is the mirror is an old one with spider veins running through it. Several people, including myself, has caught the same image.
