Ghost Photo: The Borley Rectory Brick

borley brick life magazine

In 1944, a photographer from Life magazine visited the infamously haunted Borley Rectory and snapped this pic of a brick floating in mid-air. Do you think it’s legit or an obvious fake?

Once known as “The Most Haunted House in England,” the Borley Rectory was reportedly home to a number of spirits, including the ghostly monk pictured here. Strange events at the Victorian mansion included unexplained footsteps, flickering lights, mysterious tapping sounds, and bells that rang when no one was around. A fire destroyed the home in 1939.
