Ghost Photo: Suicide House
In 1944, Andrew Green (who would become one of England’s most famous ghost hunters) visited Number Sixteen, Montpelier Road with his father. The London-area home had been vacant for over a decade, and for good reason: a nursemaid once threw a child from the upper level and then leaped to her own death.
Legend has it at least 20 suicides have occurred on the property, leading locals to refer to Number Sixteen, Montpelier Road as Suicide House. In fact, according to Robert Clarke, author of Ghosts: A Natural History, Green himself nearly jumped.
Does this photo, taken by Green, show the murdered child’s ghost? Or is it just an illusion?
