LONG BEACH, Calif., (August 15, 2013) – The legendary Queen Mary welcomes the return of a frightful Halloween tradition with their annual Dark Harbor event October 3 through November 2, 2013. For 17 haunted evenings guests will experience the deadliest show on earth featuring a new horrific circus of spectacles, freaks and sideshows inspired by some of the ship’s most infamously haunted spirits and tales.
The RMS Queen Mary, a retired ocean liner now permanently docked in Long Beach, CA, is reportedly home to a number of ghosts, including a little girl who drowned in one of the ship’s pools. Is that her in the photo above?
In 2007, an amateur filmmaker in West Yorkshire, England filmed what appeared to be the ghost of a Roman soldier on a scenic footpath. Oddly, he didn’t see anything unusual at the time of recording and only noticed the apparition after reviewing his footage. In fact, the video (below) shows several runners jogging obliviously through the “spirit,” causing skeptics to claim the ghost is nothing more than sunlight filtering through the trees. However, the filmmaker, George Gunn, isn’t so sure.
“I’ve had the camera for quite a while now, and I have never had any problems with lighting or sun glare or anything like that,” he told BBC News. “There is something peculiar about it.”
