The image comes from an infrared camera the company uses to snap pictures of tourists. Is it a ghost or merely a marketing ploy?

The story behind this photo, reportedly shot in the 1930s, is that a widow took a picture of her basement and was shocked when her husband appeared in the back. Why? The husband had apparently died of a heart attack several years earlier. Is the broom a ghost too?
