Reader Submission: The Little Ghost Girl

“My experience with a ghost was two years ago at my sister’s house. I was fixing some cereal when I heard a knock at the back door. I opened the door, but nobody was there. I got a little spooked, so I went back inside.

The next day, I woke up to a loud scream. I jumped up and looked around but didn’t see anything except for a blanket in the corner of the kitchen. I picked it up, but it wasn’t one of my sister’s blankets, so I put it on the rocking chair and went to brush my teeth. When I came back, the blanket was gone.

Suddenly, the front door opened and my mom and sister came in. I told them what happened, but they didn’t believe me. My mom then went to the bathroom and came out saying that she had seen the ghost of a little girl. After that, I went online and looked up the home’s history. I found out that a six-year-old girl lived there and died of pneumonia. She died with her blanket, the same one that I had found. I will never forget that house.”
